James and The Sleepwalkers experienced their biggest success with the song "Diary" on Wale's breakthrough album Attention: Deficit. The track features Marsha Ambrosius and a prominent sample from "La Valse d'Amélie" by Yann Tierson. The album reached #2 on Billboard's rap charts and the song spawned a music video that enjoyed airtime on MTV and BET. The music video has gathered well over 1 million views on youtube and the song continues to sell on itunes.

James was hired by (then L.A. Clipper) Baron Davis to engineer the recording sessions for Inglewood rapper Skeme in 2010. This led to The Sleepwalkers producing and recording the intro and title track to Skeme's breakthrough album The Statement the following year.

The Edward Norton LP was written, recorded, produced and mastered by The Sleepwalkers. With the enlisted help from artists ranging from Murs and Paul Wall to James himself, The Sleepwalkers took a wide range of songs and artists and used Edward Norton sound bites to tie them all together. The result is one complete and cohesive body of work. James helped oversee the entire process from recording & mixing to promotion and product development.

Upon discovering the title of the NC native's upcoming album, James reached out to Big Remo and insisted that he couldn't make an album titled "Sleepwalkers" without production from "The Sleepwalkers". The result: James and crew managed the only placement outside of 9th Wonder's in-house production team, producing the title track for the album.
